Registering a National Trademark

Search

To ensure that your trademark does not conflict with earlier trademarks (identical or similar), you are advised to conduct a search among the registered trademarks and the applications for granting trademarks both in the Republic of Cyprus and abroad.

Online Registry of National Trademarks

You can conduct an electronic search among the registered national trademarks in the Republic of Cyprus, as well as their applications, by utilizing the new search tool of the Intellectual Property Section, the Online Registry of National Trademarks.

TMView

You can conduct a search in earlier trademarks and applications for trademark registration in the Republic of Cyprus and other countries of the European Union and internationally, through the  TMView service of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

eSearch Plus

You can conduct a search in the Trademarks Register of the European Union, through eSearch Plus eSearch Plus service of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Global Brand Database

You can conduct a search in the International Trademarks Register, through the Global Brand Database service of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

WIPO Madrid Monitor

You can conduct a search regarding registered international trademarks and their applications that have been filed on the basis of the Madrid system, by utilizing the Madrid Monitor tool of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

Official Gazette

You can search for data regarding national and international trademarks, that are in force in the Republic of Cyprus, through the publications of the Intellectual Property Section in the Official Gazette.
