Amending Trademark's particulars

Dividing a registered trademark

The beneficiary of a registered trademark (owner) may proceed with the division of its registration into two or more partial registrations, stating for each one the products or services within the initial registration that are covered, by submitting the form to the Intellectual Property Section.

Filing of division

You may submit an application for filing alterations to the register (form Ε.Σ 10), by hand / post, by paying the fee of one hundred and eighteen euro (€118).

The fees above are payable in cash, by cheque,  through an account in the Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property or through bank transfer, in case of submission by hand/post.

It is noted that products or services of a partial registration may not overlap with those remaining in the initial registration.

In case where the conditions for filing the division of a registered trademark are not met, the Section informs you accordingly and requests that you take corrective actions within two (2) months. In case of non-compliance, the application is rejected.

Provided that the Section is satisfied that all conditions are met, it proceeds with the filing of the registration's division and the creation of each partial registration that arise with a new registration number, while maintaining the submission date of the initial application.

In case you wish to request the issuance of certified or uncertified copies, you may submit an application for obtaining trademark's certified copies
