Filing a National Industrial Design

Upon receipt of your application, the Intellectual Property Section immediately proceeds to issue a relevant receipt and notifies you the relevant application number and date. Following the examination stage , during which the section examines whether the application meets the prerequisites as the law imposes, data and documents that must be accompanied with t. If there are any pending issues, the section will send you a relevant notication, inviting you to take all the necessary actions in relation to your application.
Provided that your application is complete at the stage of formal examination,the Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property proceeds with the issuance of the relevant Certificate of Filing of an Industrial Design and Model and subsequently proceeds to a relevant publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic (unless you have requested postponement of publication ).
It is clarified that the Intellectual Property Section does not make a substantive examination of the application and therefore the acceptance of the filing of an Industrial Design does not constitute a decision from Section regarding the ability of the Industrial Design to be protected pursuant to the Law.
In the event you wish to secure the issue of certified copies of filed industrial design or model, you may request to obtain certified true copies of industrial design or model.
