Search

To ensure that your invention is “new”, you are advised to search among the registered patents and the applications for granting a patent both in the Republic of Cyprus and abroad.

International register

You can search global databases of filed patents through the Espacenet service of the European Patent Organisation (EPO) or through the Patentscope of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

Official Journal of EPO

The official journal of the EPO is electronically available.

Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus

Υou can search for information regarding patents filed in the patents register through the publications of the Intellectual Property Section in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus.

Search in the physical Patents Register
Alternatively to electronic search, you can conduct search in the granted national patents and the translations of European patents in the Patents Register, which is maintained in the Intellectual Property Section, by paying the search fee of five euro (€5) per patent.
