Forms accompanying the filing of a translation of a European Patent – P17
The Department of the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property, hereby informs the public that, in cases where EPO form 2544 is submitted, together with a translation of a European Patent (Π17), the translation document should be accompanied by a sworn affidavit (Reg. 46/99,20(1)), since it refers to amendments re transfer and registration relevant to the applicant/owner of the patent (Reg. 46/99, 54(3)).
A two (2) Euro stamp should be affixed on the said document.
Any other forms (eg 2006, 2056), not necessary for examination purposes, that are submitted by the applicant, along with application Π17, need not be accompanied by a translation.
