You can search among earlier patents and patent applications worldwide, by utilising the electronic search tools offered by the European Patent Office (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). At the same time, you can search among international registrations through the publications in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus or conduct a physical search in the register of the Registrar of Companies.

You can conduct a global search in published applications for patents and patents issued through the Espacenet database of the European Patent Office (EPO).
Patentscope
You can search the global database of registered patents and patent applications via the Patentscope service of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
EPO Journal
The official journal of the European Patent Office (EPO) is an electronic source of EPO information.
Official Gazette
You can search for data related to patents registered in the Patent's register through the publications of the Intellectual Property Section in the Official Gazette.
Physical Patent Register
Alternative to the electronic search, you can conduct a physical search of granted national patents and translations of European patents in the Patent Register, which is kept in the Intellectual Property Section, by paying the fee of five euro (€5) per patent.
